Around 9/11 2001, I had taken my first ever trip to America 1.5 weeks prior that. I came with the Au pair program to be a nanny for 1 year old girl in Upstate New York.
On that day I was going to meet my fellow musicians in New York City but bailed out for whatever reason. However, they were there running to unknown direction from unknown noise, explosion couple of blocks away from the World trade Centre.
And then, I was also in New York City in 2014 totally coincidentally when the new tower was just opened…
I am grateful I got to know America before all that…even if it was just a little bit.
